Vitamin D may be a Bigger Problem than Thought
Vitamin D may well be one of the most
important nutritional supplements for disease prevention. Recent research
indicates Vitamin D deficiency may increase cancer rates, contribute to MS,
fibromyalgia symptoms, and dementia in the elderly as well as many other health
conditions. Research suggests that 1000-2000 IU daily may be required instead of
the 400 IU formally recommended.
Vitamin D deficiency is more prevalent
these days because we don't spend as much time outdoors and use sunscreens,
which decreases the natural production of Vitamin D that our bodies would
normally produce from exposure to sunlight.
